U.S. Consul in Jerusalem to Probe Doar Hayom Suspension

The American consul in Jerusalem has been instructed to look into the suspension of the Hebrew daily, Doar Hayom, whose publisher is Solomon White, an American citizen, Wallace Murray, chief of the state department’s division of Near Eastern Affairs, today informed Jonah J. Goldstein, counsel for Mr. White.

On behalf of Mr. White, Mr. Goldstein had written to secretary of state Stimson protesting against the suspension of the Doar Hayom. Since then the suspension on the Doar Hayom has been lifted.
