Carl Binhak, a violinist, teacher, composer and conductor who for 25 years was the organist and choirmaster at the New York Hebrew Orphan Asylum as well as the conductor of the Glee Club and orchestra at that institution, is dead at his home in New York City.

Born in Prague, Czecho-Slovakia in 1874, Mr. Binhak came to America soon after his graduation from the Prague Conservatory and obtained a position as violinist with the Anton Seidl orchestra. Later he played under Walter Damrosch and was for many years a member of the Metropolitan Opera House orchestra.
