Novel of Pioneer Life in Palestine to Be Published

Yehuda, a novel of present day pioneer life in Palestine by Meyer Levin, a member of the staff of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, will be published on Feb. 23, 1931, by Jonathan Cape and Harrison Smith, Inc., it is announced. Mr. Levin is the author of Frankie and Johnny and Reporter, novels of American life.

Yehuda is a study of Jewish chalutzim, pioneer settlers, living in a farm commune in Palestine. It is the first presentation in novel-form of modern life in Palestine. Mr. Levin has been to Palestine three times and worked there for many months, first as a member of a “kvutza,” or farm commune, and later on his own settlement in the village of Nathania.
