Only Jewish hairdressing shops (called barber-shops in America) will be permitted to remain open on Sundays, according to a new ruling promulgated today. The Jewish shops must, however, be closed on Saturdays, and must display a notice to that effect in a prominent position. There is a heavy fine for violation of the ruling by Jewish or non-Jewish barbers.
