The “Jewish Daily Forwards”, the largest Yiddish daily in the world and at the same time the largest Socialist daily in any language, announces that it is discontinuing the two-page English section in its Sunday issues. Certain problems have arisen in connection with the section, which make it necessary to suspend publication, only temporarily, we hope, the announcement says. The English section of the “Forwards” was started about five years back, consisting at first of four pages, afterwards reduced to two.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
