The League of Christian Defence will expel all the Jews from Bessarabia and will expropriate their possessions for the benefit of the peasants, Professor Cuza cried from the tribune of the Chamber, when he mounted it to speak in the special festive sitting held in celebration of the anniversary of the Bessarabian liberation from Russian rule and its annexation as part of Greater Roumania.
M. Popp, the President of the Chamber, reprimanded Deputy Cuza, deploring his action in bringing up such impossible questions on the day of national festivity, and he refused to allow him to continue his speech.
