The Executive of the Jewish Agency is engaged in preparing the elections for the Council of the Jewish Agency, the second ordinary meeting of which will open at Basle on July 14th., it is stated officially by the Jewish Agency head office here.
The elections for the Council will take place in England on June 7th., it is stated, and will be carried out, as was the case two years ago on the occasion of the constituent meeting of the Council, by the Board of Deputies of British Jews.
In Germany, the elections will take place on June 14th. at a Conference convened by the Organising Committee of the Jewish Agency, and will be carried out on the same lines as the elections for the constituent meeting of the Council. The elections in the Bukovina will take place on June 20th at a Conference to which all the Jewish communities and the Committee of the Keren Hayesod will send delegates, and will likewise be along the lines of the elections in 1929.
