Russian Rabbi Barred Because There Are “plenty” in Palestine

“There are plenty of rabbis already in Palestine,” declared immigration officials here yesterday in refusing to issue a visa for a rabbi in Russia who wished to come to Palestine.

This statement by Palestine immigration officers has caused especial surprise here in view of the fact that up to now no restrictions were imposed upon the entrance of rabbis into Palestine.
