If the Palestine Revisionists have their way the Revisionists will secede from the World Zionist Organization, in which they have been the opposition, and create a new Zionist Organization. The executives of the Palestine Revisionists, the Brith Trumpeldor, the Revisionist youth organization, the Revisionist workers and the editors of Haam, the Revisionist Palestine organ, today cabled to Vladimir Jabotinsky that “we are with you as the creator of a new Zionist Organization.”
Immediately after the conclusion of the Zionist Congress, Jabotinsky took a six months leave of absence from the Revisionist party because of internal differences as to the Revisionist attitude to the Zionist Organization. A serious split exists in the party ranks on the question of whether the Revisionists should remain within the Zionist Organization, and if they do remain, to what extent they should participate in the work of the Organization.
A world Revisionist conference to discuss this question as well as Jabotinsky’s leadership of the party is to be held in December. The Palestine Revisionist conference, to decide on the same matter, has been postponed from July 27 to July 31. At the annual conference of the Palestine Revisionists last November in Tel Aviv a resolution was adopted called upon the World Executive of the Zionist Revisionists to take immediate steps to secede from the World Zionist Organization. This resolution, however, did not have the united support of all Palestine Revisionists.
The division among the Palestine Revisionists is the same as that in Europe, with the followers of Dr. Richard Lichtheim of Germany and Meer Grossman of England, favoring the carrying on of Revisionist principles within the Zionist Organization, while the adherents of Jabotinsky want to create a new and independent organization.
