Palestine Food Prices Going Up with Continued Fall in Sterling

The continued fall in the Palestine pound in line with sterling is sending the prices of foodstuffs in Palestine soaring. Flour, both Australian and local, are particularly affected. Wholesalers are extremely reluctant to do business in Palestine currency, and people find it difficult to change foreign currency in the banks, which are refusing to buy more dollars, for instance, than the seller can show are absolutely essential for living expenses.
