George Taslaoanu, the antisemitic student leader, who was Chef de Cabinet to M. Vayda-Voyvod, when he was Minister of the Interior in the Maniu Government, acting as his means of contact with Codreanu and the other antisemitic student leaders, has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment by the Bucharest Tribunal for fraud. He was found guilty of using funds which he collected for a theatre, called “The Carol II Theatre”, which he had founded for purposes other than those for which they were intended, by the subscribers.
