My visit to Palestine has instilled in me an enthusiasm and desire to help with all the means I can, Lord Reading declared to-day, addressing a reception of all the Jewish communal leaders and the Rabbis arranged by the Jewish Agency at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. The gathering decided to commemorate the occasion by inscribing Lord Reading’s name in the Golden Book of the Jewish National Fund, according to the Hebrew form, Daniel ben Joseph.

Lord Reading received to-day also a delegation of the Palestine Agudath Israel Organisation, the extreme orthodox section of Palestine Jewry, who thanked him for his interest in Palestine.

Together with the High Commissioner for Palestine, General Sir Arthur Wauchope, and Mr. Pinchas Rutenberg, the Managing Director of the Palestine Electric Corporation, of which Lord Reading is Chairman of the Board of Directors, Lord Reading visited this morning the Dead Sea works. The visitors were received and shown round by the joint concessionaires, Mr. Novomeyski and Major Tulloch, and had lunch with them.
