Three Jews Sentenced to Eighteen Months’ Imprisonment on Charge of Attacking Christians During Vilna

David Halpern, 29 years of age, Leib Hurwicz, 26 years of age, and Solomon Sawica, 25 years of age, have been sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment each on the charge that during the disturbances in Vilna in November they took part in an attack made by Jews on a number of Christians in the Zawalna Street. An appeal has been lodged against the verdict.

Five Jews have been sentenced in all, to imprisonment in connection with the Vilna disturbances, four to 18 months, and one to two months. Only one Christian has been sentenced so far, and he only for seven days.
