Five thousand Jewish children receive a Jewish education in 25 folk schools, nine high schools and three kindergartens conducted jointly by the Jewish National Workers Alliance and the Poale Zion, the convention of the Jewish National Workers Alliance was informed yesterday at the closing session.
The opening of a number of additional schools this winter is contemplated.
A special old age fund for members of the Alliance will be established in accordance with a resolution adopted notwithstanding the fact that the average age of the Alliance members is not more than 39.
The Sunday sessions were addressed by Meyer Brown, president; P. Gingold, director of the Central School Committee, and Miss I. Pikolsky, in behalf of the Ladies Club of the Alliance.
