The Jewish region in Bira Bidjan which the Soviet Government contemplates rendering autonomous by the end of 1933 is only one of twenty-nine national minority regions already in existence at present in the Chabarovsk region, according to figures in a report received by the Soviet authorities here from the Far East Soviet.
The report states that the Far East Soviet will now see to it that the Northern National Minorities in the Far East, like Koreans, receive a larger share in the administration of the Chabarovsk district.
Among the 29 national minority regions are nine Ukrainian regions, one Korean and four mixed regions of Ukrainians and Koreans.
