Announces Knabenshue As Baghdad Minister

The State Department has confirmed the report that Paul Knabenshue, Consul General in Jerusalem, is to be named minister to Baghdad.

In announcing the appointment of Mr. Knabenshue, it was made known he will occupy the posts of minister resident and consul general at Baghdad.

Alexander K. Sloan, consul at Baghdad, who has been serving as Charge D’Affaires there, has been named consul at Jerusalem.
