A speech by the Jewish Deputy, Weissman, who is president of the Zionist Federation of Roumania, protesting against the insulting epithets hurled at the Jews by Deputies at sessions of Parliament, evoked an anti-Semitic demonstration yesterday which resulted in the exclusion from Parliamentary sessions for five days of the anti-Semitic Deputy Robu.

The tumult occurred during the debate on King Carol’s message to Parliament. Deputy Weissman was repeatedly interrupted by the anti-Semitic members of Parliament who shouted “Jidani” and other insulting terms.

Deputy Michael Landau delivered an address describing the terrorism conducted against the Jews in Bessarabia.

The stand of the Jewish deputies was supported by the deputies of the Roumanian Peasant Party.
