Broad Program of Zionist Activities Being Discussed at White Lake Conference

A semi-annual meeting of the New York Zionist Region, joined by Zionist representatives of Connecticut, New Jersey and Rhode Island, was opened here last night. The sessions will continue today and tomorrow. The purpose of the special conference is to adopt a program of Zionist activities for the next year, in line with plans that have been outlined by the Zionist Administration elected at the annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America.

At tonight’s session Louis Lipsky, former President of the Zionist Organization of America, will report on the meetings of the Zionist Actions Committee and the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Agency which he attended in London and from where he returned yesterday on the “Aquitania.” Bernard G. Richards, Research Secretary of the American Jewish Congress, will review the results of the World Jewish Conference held recently at Geneva for the purpose of convoking a World Jewish Congress. Other scheduled speakers at the sessions are Carl Sherman, President of the New York Zionist Region, Abraham Goldberg and Morris Margulies, Secretary, who will submit a program of activities to include an enlarged Zionist membership.
