A central Jewish organization to deal with the needs of Cuban Jewry, with headquarters in Havana, will be established in line with a resolution adopted at a conference held here with the participation of representatives of various Jewish groups.
The conference was called at the initiative of the Association Adath Israel.
A second conference is to be held shortly when plans for the constitution of the organization will be formulated.
A census of the Jewish population is also to be held, it was announced.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
