Dr. Ariel Benzion Zionist worker and literateur, has been elected correspondent member of the “Real Academia de la Historia” of Madrid in recognition of his literary work and more particularly because of his recent book “The Zohar in Moslem and Christian Spain,” it was learned here today.

The volume, which carries a preface by Sir Denison Ross, principal of the School of Oriental Studies of the University of London, is a study of the Zohar from the historical point of view and is at the same time a philosophic and poetic contribution to Jewish literature.

A Spanish edition of the volume is scheduled to appear shortly and will have an introductin by the Spanish philosopher, Miguel Unamuno.
