Judge Lester W. Roth Re-elected in Los Angeles

Lester W. Roth, appointed to the Superior Court of Los Angeles by Governor Rolph, was re-elected to the post by a clear majority at the primary elections here.

Judge Roth is prominently identified with Jewish communal activities in this city. He is the president of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Society and the Ex-Patients Society.

Judge Isaac Pacht, who was also appointed by Governor Rolph, will have to contend for office in the regular election, although he received more votes than any of the other candidates.

Isadore Urfirer, Commander of Lake Placid Post, No. 325, of the American Legion, has been awarded the Essex County Commander Membership Trophy for obtaining the greatest increase in post membership in the country during the fiscal year just closed.

Commander Urfirer won the prize by increasing the membership of his organization 90 per cent during the past year.
