An acre of land from his estate at Purchase has been given to the township of Harrison by Lieutenant Governor Herbert H. Lehman, for the purpose of aiding the unemployed.

The land will be used for the widening and improving of Barns Lane and will thus offer employment to a number.

Lieutenant Governor Lehman, prominent Jewish philanthropist, is a candidate for governor of New York State and will be the first Jew to hold this post if elected.
