Assurances that the Jewish population in Roumania will be treated with all solicitude are offered by Premier Alexander Vaida Voevod in a letter received by Bernard Lecache, president of the League to Combat Anti-Semitism.

“I want to assure you that the Jewish minority in Roumania will be treated by me with all solicitude in accordance with my program which is to preserve peace and order among the various social and ethnical sections of my country,” the Roumanian Premier declared.

“You may be assured,” he said, “that I shall act in the same way as when I was Minister of Interior. I shall endeavor to pacify the extremist movements and cheek the anti-Semitic student groups.”
