The separate electoral colleges, which have been abolished throughout Greece, will however be enforced with regard to the Jewish population of Salonica in connection with the elections on September 25th, it was established here yesterday.

The Jews who have for a long period protested against the separate electoral college will as in former years be compelled to vote for their own candidates and not for the candidates of general parties.

The Jews are entitled to two mandates in the Senate and four in the lower house of Parliament. A much larger group of Jewish candidates is seeking election, none being attached to any party, but holding to independent platforms.
