New York Chapters of Alliance Elect Executive

The New York chapters of the Jewish National Workers Alliance concluded its two day sessions with the election of a new executive committee.

The Committee which will be empowered to elect its officers is comprised of: A. Sosnaw, J. Tiperlowsky, A. Shudrow, J. Chafkin, L. Boxnboum, M. Yskowitz and M. Kaufman.

The board of directors of the Hebrew Orphans Sheltering Institution in Newark, N. J., has retained J. Emanuel Wiseman, formerly of Brooklyn and Providence, as its new superintendent. Mr. Wiseman himself was raised in the Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum, on whose supervisory staff he later served for six years. A graduate of Brown University, he also held positions with the Jewish Orphanage of Rhode Island and more recently with the Hebrew National Orphans Home at Yonkers, N. Y.

Funeral services were held in Jersey City for Jacob Heyman, prominent in Hudson County, N. J. The deceased was a member of Temple Beth El and active in Jewish charitable endeavor, notably the Hebrew Orphans Home of Hudson County.
