Jewish circles in Germany today are looking to the government to prevent any attempt by the Nazis to victimize the Jews on the alleged ground that Jewish influence is responsible for yesterday’s dissolution of the Reichstag by Chancellor Franz von Papen.

The dissolution of Parliament may not mean immediate elections, is the viewpoint held in some circles. The government is empowered by the constitution to postpone elections if their holding endangers security and order in the land. There is also the possibility that the government may avoid new elections by declaring a state of emergency to exist.
