For the first time in the history of the Jews in France, a Jewish Socialist Party has been created and already has several hundred members.
The new party bears the name of “The Jewish Socialist Union in France,” and according to its constitution has the “same aims and program as the French section of the Workers International.”
The Jewish Union, it is pointed out, has in addition, a distinct field of work and that is to conduct Socialist propaganda among the Jewish immigrant workers; to watch over their economic, cultural and political interests. Among the members of the new party is the well-known Yiddish poet, David Einhorn. The Union has a weekly organ.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
