An allegation that Dr. Hermann Badt, the Jewish representative in the Prussian Diet, who has been given leave of absence for an indefinite period when the von Papen Government was formed, was attacked in the Prussian Diet by the National Socialists, who alleged that Dr. Badt’s recent airship flights to America, Egypt and Palestine were made at the expense of the Government, although the actual nature of these flights were not connected with any official duties but were undertaken for purely private reasons.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns in this connection that this accusation against Dr. Hermann Badt is entirely without foundation. Dr. Badt, who has rendered great services for the promotion of German aviation, participated in the flights of the “Graf Zeppelin” at the personal invitation of Dr. Eckener.

Funeral services were held in Elizabeth, N. J. for Herman Kaufman. He was affiliated with Temple B’nai Israel. After the World War, he purchased several hundred thousand dollars worth of waste metal from the government.
