Don Kaplanowitz, Jewish Writer, Dies at Age of 52

Don Kaplanowitz, Yiddish editor, novelist and translator, died here yesterday in his fifty-second year.

Mr. Kaplanowitz was the editor of the “Zeit.” Two years ago, Mr. Kaplanowitz visited the United States. He was a brother of A. Kaplan, American Jewish journalist.

Rabbi Joseph Gitin of Buffalo, N. Y., who was ordained at the Hebrew Union College, has been appointed Rabbi of Temple Emanuel at Buffalo, N. Y.
