The American consulate here today disclaimed any knowledge of the fabulous legacy reputedly left to a beadle in a Lodz synagogue, Davidowitch, by a deceased nephew in Los Angeles.
According to the story which gained wide circulation in Lodz, Davidowitch had been informed of the legacy by the American consulate and the fortune was set at the sum of $75,000,000.
