The Jews of New York City are urged to make contributions to the American Palestine Campaign, in response to appeals that will be made in many synagogues throughout the city during Rosh Hashonah, the Jewish New Year, which begins tomorrow evening, in a statement issued by Nathan Straus, Jr., Chairman of the American Palestine Campaign of Greater New York.

The celebration of the Jewish New Year is most closely linked with Palestine and Jewish aspirations for the rebuilding of Zion, Mr. Straus said.

“The spirit of the Jewish New Year, which creates a bond between all Jews, leads me to appeal to the Jews of New York for their co-operation in an enterprise which is so intertwined with the destiny of our people everywhere,” Mr. Straus said.
