Judge Alfred A. Stein of Elizabeth has been named vice Chancellor for a period of seven years.
Judge Stein was sworn into office here shortly after the appointment was announced by Chancellor Walker.
Judge Stein’s name had been mentioned prominently for an appointment to a vacancy on the Circuit Court bench.
