Four Jews on Executive of Independent Group

Four Jews have been named to the National Executive Committee of the League for Independent Political Action, of which Professor John Dewey is the chairman.

They are: B. C. Vladeck, manger of the “Forward”; Mrs. Estelle M. Sternberger, former executive secretary of the Council of Jewish Women and at present one of the editors of the new Women’s Encyclopaedia; Sidney Hillman, president of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America and Max Zaritsky, president of the Cap and Millinery Industry.
