Dedicated to the memory of the late Julius Levy, the Baltimore Museum of Art’s new Oriental room was formally opened last week with brief ceremonies.

The room will house a collection of Oriental art to be purchased with a fund bequeathed by Mr. Levy, as well as other Oriental exhibits.

A short dedicatory address by Blanchard Randall, president of the board of trustees, was followed by another by Leslie M. Moses, representing the Levy family.

Mr. Levy, Jewish philanthropist, died in November, 1926.
