Denies Bruening Government Control of “berliner Tageblatt”

The recent report which appeared in the reactionary press in Germany to the effect that the majority of the shares of the Rudolf Mosse Company, publishers of the “Berliner Tageblatt” and other liberal papers, had been acquired by the previous government of Dr. Heinrich Bruening, was denied by Walter Wolff, general director of the Rudolf Mosse Advertising Agency prior to his departure from the United States in a statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

“The statement of the right wing press that the Rudolf Mosse Publishing Company or any of its affiliates has sought or received financial aid from any government is baseless and utterly without foundation. The Rudolf Mosse Company is the property of a private individual and none of its shares can therefore be sold without his consent,” Dr. Wolff stated.
