The immediate discontinuation of Jewish religious instruction in the secondary schools has been ordered by the government, states the “Czernowitzer Morgenblatt” today.

The paper states that Jewish teachers have received from the authorities instructions to this effect, with the announcement that in the future Rabbis will be required to conduct religious classes outside the schoolroom.

The “Morgenblatt” expresses surprise that the Jews should have been singled out for this change.
