Sara Feder, a Jewish community leader active in Chicago for many years, has been ap-### University of Missouri, in the Department of Rural Sociology, which is the school of Social Service administration. This appointment comes as a culmination to a series of honors including a sociology scholarship, research scholarship in connection with the national organization, and special research worker in the Department.

She is the wife of Dr. I. Keyfitz, who occupies the Chair of Jewish Learning as Professor of Semitic Language, History, and Institutions at the Bible College connected with the University of Missouri.

She began her community activities as teacher, and for many years was Civic Secretary of the Chicago Women’s Aid, a civic organization interested in community work. She has also spent a great deal of time in Zionist work, especially that connected with the cooperative movement and women’s agriculture, schools and institutions in Palestine, and was a delegate to the 16th Zionist Congress at Zurich.
