The first Yiddish talkie in Soviet Russia has now been completed. It is avowedly propagandist and tells the story of a young man who fled to America from Czarist persecution. He returns to Russia after the Revolution and takes part in the socalled process of productivization which is shown as the main feature of the new order. The chief role is played by Michaels, the well-known actor of the Yiddish Government Theatre in Moscow.
