Friedemann, Close Associate of Herzl, Dies at 62

Adolf Friedemann, prominent Zionist leader and writer of Germany, a close associate of Theodor Herzl, succumbed here yesterday at th age of sixty-two.

Mr. Friedemann, who was born in Berlin in 1871, had lived in Amsterdam since 1930. He served as Herzl’s Zionist secretary for a period and accompanied him on his first visit to Egypt in 1902.

Mr. Friedemann was the author of the first biography of Theodor Herzl, published in 1919. From 1902 to 1920 he was a member of the Actions Committee of the World Zionist Organization and a director of the Jewish Colonial Trust.
