After twenty-six years of service as Registrar and Secretary of the Faculty of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Professor Israel Davidson, at his own request, has been relieved from administrative work so that he may devote himself entirely to his duties as Professor of Mediaeval Hebrew Literature at the Seminary and to his scientific and literary labors.

Dr. Davidson has been a member of the Faculty of the Seminary since 1906, and has lectured on Mediaeval Hebrew Literature and Jewish Liturgy. He is recognized as one of the foremost Jewish scholars in this field. He has written several important works.

Professor Louis Finkelstein, who occupies the Solomon Schechter Chair of Theology at the Seminary, will take up the post of Registrar and Secretary of the Faculty.
