Mrs. Silverman Feted Prior to Departure for Palestine

Mrs. Archibald Silverman, prominent American Zionist, was tendered a farewell reception and banquet by the affiliated Zionist groups of Rhode Island on the occasion of her departure for Palestine tomorrow on the SS. Columbus.

The affair, sponsored by the leaders of Young Judea, of which Mrs. Silverman is Vice-Chairman of the National Board of Directors, was attended by representatives of the Zionist District, Hadassah, Pioneer Women and Poale Zion. Pawtucket and Woonsocket, too, sent delegations.

Dr. Stephen S. Wise and Rabbi Louis I. Newman, National President of Young Judea, were the guest speakers. Rabbi Israel M. Goldman of Providence was Toastmaster and Mrs. Morris Sheer was chairman of the committee of arrangements.
