Responsibility is fastened upon the Jews for the allegedly retrogressive economic situation in Germany by the Nazi organ “Der Angriff.”

The paper charges in particular the “Jewish Ullstein press” with responsibility for creating pessimism on the Stock Exchange. Jewish bankers are accused of artificially forcing quotations downward.

The increase in the price of lard, for example, is laid not to an increase in import duty, but to Jewish traders who allegedly influence the population to reserve large stocks.
