The drive against Jews in prominent positions continues unabated. This afternoon a Nazi storm detachment appeared on the Berlin stock exchange in order to support the demand made by Nazi members of the exchange for the retirement of Dr. Mosler, the president.
In the law courts, too, the campaign against Jewish officials was proceeding with the utmost energy. In the Berlin courts, numerous leaflets were today distributed by Nazi lawyers demanding the “cleansing of the courts of judges, lawyers, attorneys, and other elements like the Jews Loewenthal, Alsberg, and Bernard Weiss.” The leaflets call for the economic strengthening of the German legal profession by the elimination of Jews.
From Stuttgart the “Nazi Courier” reports that on Wednesday the South German Radio Company prohibited its Jewish employees from entering the radio building. The certificates of employment were also withdrawn from the Jewish manager of the Radio Entertainment Department, Dr. Maier, who was informed that it was inadvisable for him to come to the Radio House any more.
From Breslau, it is reported that Karl Wolff, the internationally famous dramatist, and Engel, the Dresden Opera director—both Jews—were given unlimited leave of absence, a graceful method of dismissal.
