A precedent in the traditional Jewish rite of lighting candles on the Sabbath Eve, is expected to be set here the latter part of this month when the Daughters of Israel Home for the Aged opens its new four-story annex. The women residents of the institution, it is announced, will introduce the novelty of blessing the Sabbath with electric candles in place of the usual wax candles.
