Non-Jewish and Jewish merchants are organizing here with the purpose of suspending the payment of trade debts to German firms until such time as the question of compensation for the destruction of the properties and business of Polish citizens in Germany shall have been officially settled between the German and Polish governments.

A delegation of merchants called today at the Foreign Ministry to represent this point of view and to urge the Polish government to incorporate it in official representations to Germany.

The United Jewish Committee, representing the Jewish community in its communal and economic aspects, called a meeting for April 13 to consider action against the Nazis, following the receipt today of a confidential report on the German situation.
