Seaboard Zionists to Meet May 14-15

A committee of the Jewish Sabbath Alliance of America, consisting of its president. Rev. Dr. Bernard Drachman. Rabbi Aaron Burack and Messrs. Gustave S. Drachman and Herman Koenigsberg, conferred yesterday with Chief Justice Edward B. La Fetra and Justice Louis L. Kahn of the City Court to make arrangements whereby orthodox Jewish lawyers need not appear at the scheduled calendar call of that Court on April 11th, 12th, 17th, and 18th, which are the Passover holidays.

The eleventh annual conference of the Seaboard Zionist Region will be held May 14 and 15 in Norfolk, Va., Rabbi Edward L. Israel, president, has announced.

The communities included in the area are Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The conference will open at the Monticello Hotel with an address by Morris Rothenberg, president of the American Zionists.

Special arrangements have been made to have Baltimore and Washington contingents leave on a special boat May 13.

The conference will consist of five sessions. Following the opening session in the morning, a second session will be held in the afternoon. At night a symposium in which the leaders of the region will participate is scheduled.

On the morning of the second day the session will be devoted to the senior and junior Hadassah and a round table discussion by men delegates. The final session will be held in the afternoon.
