Thilo Hoexter, a Jewish shop-keeper of Siegenhain, was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment today for displaying in his shop a notice offensive to the Nazis. The notice was to the effect that German reports concerning atrocity campaigns abroad were incorrect, and were spread by the government to whitewash Hitler’s failure to secure a loan from the United States.
