Louis E. Kirstein was re-elected president of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies at a meeting of the board of trustees at the Ohabei Shalom Temple Center, Brookline, last night. He has served continuously as president since the organization of the Philanthropies to succeed the Federated Jewish Charities four years ago.
Judge Abraham K. Cohen was elected first vice-president, and Mrs. Hyman Freiman, Albert A. Ginzberg, Albert W. Kaffenburgh, Judge Jacob J. Kaplan, and Henry Penn, vice-presidents. Others named to office are Casper M. Grosberg, treasurer; Morris Morse and Joseph Rabinovitz, assistant treasurers; Max E. Bernkopf, secretary, and Dr. B. M. Selekman, executive director.
Six trustees-at-large were also designated to fill vacancies on the board Judge Lewis Goldberg and Mrs. Lyman Lehrburger were elected for three-year terms and Mrs. Max E. Bernkopf, Jacob Blume, Adolph Giesberg and Philip Smith for two years.
