A wave of prosperity in Palestine, exceeding that of the pre-depression days, is reported by the United States Department of Commerce. Factories are working at full capacity to meet the increased demands for domestic products, the department said, “and the demand for labor in the building trades and agriculture is growing daily. The steady immigration of Jews from other countries is believed largely responsible for the upturn.”
