Six thousand took part in a meeting of protest and an anti-Hitler demonstration here last night. Former members of the French cabinet Louis Rollin and Francois Pietri, addressed the assembly. Messages indignantly condemning the persecution of the Jews in Germany were received from all the universities of France and from learned and literary societies throughout the nation. Speeches thanking the French nation for its stand were delivered by Chief Rabbi Israel Levy.
